REDUCED CAPACITIES - Group sizes will be kept to a maximum of 15 children and will, where possible, not intersect with other groups during the day.
MULTIPLE ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS - We will be asking parents too, where possible, only book 1 activity throughout the summer. If this is not possible due to availability, each child will be limited to a maximum of 2 different activities throughout summer.
ENHANCED CLEANING - Each camp will have a cleaner to ensure that areas remain sanitised throughout the day.
SEPARATE BREAK & LUNCH AREAS - Groups will have lunches and breaks in separate areas. If it is not possible to use different areas then break/lunch times will be staggered and cleaned in between group.
TEMPERATURE CHECKS - Infrared thermometers will be available at every site and any child or staff member with a temperature exceeding 37.8 degrees will be sent home.
HAND CLEANING - Hand washing will take place before and after each activity. Hand washing will be supervised by staff to ensure children are being thorough. Antibacterial hand gel will also be available within each group throughout the day. It will be used before and after any equipment is touched.
CONTACT FREE DROP OFF & COLLECTION - Drop off and collection of children will involve utilising more areas of the school to ensure children/parents are spread out. Where possible this will be outside and will be contact-free. Please ensure medical forms are filled out online in advance of drop off and only one parent drops off.
INCREASED OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES - We are extremely privileged to have superb outdoor spaces at all our venues and more activities than usual will take place out in the fresh air, weather permitting. This is safer and allows us to spread out each group in a larger space although we will also have use of many indoor areas where we can adapt activities should the weather be inclement.
ALTERED ACTIVITY PLANS - Current risk assessments for each activity will be updated to factor in coronavirus. Certain activities will be dropped from this summers programme and other activities will be adapted. We are still confident that we can provide a fun-packed day for every child.
MORNING SAFETY TALK - At the start of each day, group leaders will talk through the catch it, bin it and kill it message and advise children of the rules that they will need to abide by regarding handwashing and social distancing. Children will be told that their group leader will always carry tissues and antibacterial hand gel if required.
CONTACT WITH LOCAL TEST CENTERS - We will be in touch with local testing centres to ensure that our staff and children can receive tests if they are showing symptoms.
